Training : 2012-13 Outcomes
At Community Solutions, we understand the importance of positive outcomes and realize that the strongest evidence that our services are effective comes by demonstrating positive impacts on the communities we serve. Examples of positive results within our training division include:
- The CSI Training and Resource Center has expanded its customer base this past year. New business partners include the state of Minnesota, Douglas County (Nebraska) and a consortium of providers throughout Southwestern Connecticut with federal grant money for employment services. This new business increased revenue by nearly $100,000.
- The quality assurance project is now using technology for more of its tools to measure effectiveness of the service. The Working Alliance Inventory and the coach evaluations are all done electronically now. This will lead to better data for service delivery and marketing.
- Dr. Robert Ross, an international authority on offender rehabilitation and the prevention of antisocial behavior, has asked the CSI Training and Resource Center to take on all US-based trainings. He would like to designate CSI as his trainers training center of choice in America. This will include both Reasoning and Rehabilitation (R&R) II-r and the original 35 lesson R&R.
- Throughout 2013, CSI trainer Jessica Fraser has been training Connecticut detention staff in female responsive services. This project will continue as she trains all CSSD employees and then follows up with ongoing quality assurance.
